Detlef Lundius started in the golf business in 1998 with
duties such as marshal and course director, and has
qualifications in special education and certification for
teaching youth. A few years later, Lundius received his
Level III certification from the GGTF and in 2004 became a
Master Golf Teaching Professional®.
In 2005, he started an indoor training
golf academy in Berlin, teaching with a golf simulator and
all the features that come with it. Lundius says that
working with the simulator gave him valuable experience in
analysis and teaching, and it has also trained his teaching
eye to a very high degree. In addition to teaching in this
environment, he also finds it valuable to engage the student
in a playing lesson to integrate what happens on the lesson
tee with what happens on the golf course. As golf is a sport
in high demand in Germany, Lundius says the German GTF has
the highest degree of competence to best serve the sport and
the people who play it.
